She stands, they’re tall and strong.

Moving forward, her hand on wood.

“All rise” and stood.

Their eyes are long

And cold on her hood.

Her words hold his life.

Her words are a fate.

Her words mean strife.

Her words come too late.

Her words are no knife.

Her words seal the date

That’s he’ll lie dead on a slate.

She stands there, tall and strong.

Words outstretched.

Victory in song.

But the words are unfetched.

Unfeeling, unetched.

From a heart cold, and long

Gone.

The tune reads life.

Joy and peace.

But it’s lead to strife,

War and pain without cease.

It tugs at the heart strings,

calling for us to band together.

But it brings…

Out enemies and a never whiter feather.

It’s played in victory.

But it’s another defeat.

It’s all a contradictory.

An endless beat…

My heart…

The tune…

His heart…

It all will croon.

And end.

She stands there tall and strong,

Leading her way through the throng.

She hopes for a glance,

For a wink, for a chance…

To see just a single face smile…

at her.

But she’s looking at the ground,

Doesn’t know what is going on around.

Trips, falls, falls, falls, fall…

She let’s out a small call.

But no one listens.

Or even sees her at all.

Gravel, rough like the grave

And etchings from long ago pave,

The grey before her eyes.

She’s too weak, so she lies.

She lies there small and weak.

Doesn’t even have a voice to speak.

People step around.

Not a friend to be found.

Nor a hand reaching down,

Alone in this old town.

thecolourofmagic asked: I have two groups to write about and could probably write an essay on each, which is why I can write so much. Great war - that's an awesome tactic! haha. They say 20 references fro 2000 words, so that's a pretty good ratio you've got. That is very, very true. Especially today...

Thanks Lyss

thecolourofmagic asked: Well, you said 20% but did 10%... haha. With every essay I take a leeway of plus or minus 10%, and that's a well understood 'rule'. So you can write 2250 words and that should be fine. I, on the other hand, will hand in 3300 words. See how that works? Sneaky.

Haha. Right yeah i meant 10%. 3300!!! How can you write so much! My topic/question does not allow me to write that much at all! I had to change “war” to “great war” every time to make it a bit longer. I have 1908 words right now and have approximately 26 quotes/references! I don’t know if that’s a good ration, but i need words…Sneaky. Look at the “Did You know” thing on my wall, it’s so true. I always get sad because people are being more social than me…. :(
